Design Notes

The DNA encoding the MalE / MBP signal sequence contains no illegal restriction sites with respect to standard RFC[10]. It has a single VneI site (g/tgcac) starting at position 17.

The sequence was amplified from E. coli K-12 (MG1655) genomic DNA.
